SOC1010-903-SU15: Sociology (06.01.15 - 07.31.15)

Welcome to Sociology 1010!

Welcome to Sociology 1010!  This semester, we will be studying all the different parts of what makes are society work.  The first thing you need to do is explore the class website.  Click on each of the tabs at the top to see what they lead to, then click on "Course" which is the page you came in on.  Click the Download Syllabus

button here or on the left and print it. Please also save the syllabus to your computer.  You will need that for the next step.

Next, you need to click on the "Modules" tab to the left.  This is where you will find all the work for this class. The syllabus gives information about the structure of the assignments and my expectations.

The first set assignments you will need to complete is the "Getting Started Assignments."  These important assignments will help you be prepared for an online class as well as learn the policies and requirements for this one.  This is the first assignment you have this week.  These are important in order to help you be as successful as possible in this class.

We will be meeting on-line twice during the semester. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, June 9, at 8:00 AM. You will simply log into Canvas and click on the Conference link on the left hand side of the screen. It will be worth 25 points of your grade, so please try to log in. If you are unable to do so, please contact me right away.

I am looking forward to working with you and am looking forward to a busy, yet rewarding semester.
